Desolation Sound is one of the most haunting and beautiful coastal areas in BC. Located 6 hours north of Vancouver BC, it requires 3 ferries through beautiful scenery and an amazing drive (or a plane trip) to reach Powell River where it requires a boat to take you into the fiords of the North Gulf Islands and coastal mountains.
